One reason the "Quoiromantic" explanation may just be confusing to everyone is that its meaning tends to vary depending on who's using it, and it has actually been used to describe many spots on the aromantic spectrum.

Actually, Alexis might be able to understand that, since Autism works much the same way. Asperger's is just one spot on the Autism spectrum, Autism is another because of course we had to have Autism within Autism just so people never know which one we're referring to, and then everyone else on the spectrum falls under the "not otherwise specified" category, most often explained as "Autism... sort of."

@Anon: I have Asperger's Syndrome and your discription of the autism spectrum is spot on. Nice to see some one understands us.

@Laurie_A: Well, it's not that hard for me to understand, because I just so happen to be somewhere in that "not otherwise specified" area of the spectrum, which is really the worst part to be in when it comes to explaining your condition to other people. It sounds something like "I'm autistic, but not like autistic-autistic, I'm another kind of autistic. Something close to Asperger's I guess? There's not even a name for it, so it's just Autism even though it's not THE Autism. Does that make sense?"
